Hi, Wow so the big day of the big swim is almost here. Very impressive stuff. Heard you on RTE on a recent Saturday! Wishing you the very best of luck! Career break is all going well. And baby due in 5 weeks I would offer to name the baby IASC but lets face it that is a burden no child should bear. Very, very best of luck!! Grainne
21/07/2009Owen O'Keefe
Owen O'Keefe aims to become the youngest person from Ireland to have attempted and completed a Solo Swim of the English Channel. He is swimming in aid of the Irish Cancer Society and in memory of his grandmother who died of cancer in November 2008.
IASC are swimming as part of a team of 20 but Owen will have to do it on his own. He is also swimming in September for the irish cancer Society and is only 15 years old. Maybe you would consider donating to him as well

Hey. I hear ye are all packing bags at Dunnes Stores next Saturday. I will have to drop up and give you a few shillings. Will all 20 of ye be there?

Hi, could you please convey my congratulations to those who organised yesterday's swishing event. The thought (the labels on the hangers, stickers for the jewellery bags, to name but a few) and effort that went into the event was extraordinary. Those serving the bubbly did a fantastic job....it certainly made my hands more flexible and ensured that I opened my wallet more often than anticipated! And locating the event beside the ATM was a definite plus!! The raffle was conducted in a most professional manner - sometimes they can go on and on, but ticket numbers were called out clearly and gifts collected without fuss. All in all, it was a flawless event and would put any professional event team to shame. I am disappointed that we are missing out on the gala event in The Westbury because if it is anything like yesterday's standards it'll be a "Hello" magazine type of event.

Fair play to you for doing this. It's no mean feat. I'm sure you'll succeed.
